What is a FTO? A FTO – Flight Training Organization – in NAFI’s eyes is any organization that provides training focused on aviation education, for flight, ground based, or simulator based training. Each of these areas affects the overall aviation education and the skills development that current and future pilots use to build their abilities as pilots or educators in the aviation field. An FTO is any organization that helps provide the training and knowledge to build pilots or keep pilots current. Any such organization is one that NAFI feels can benefit from the information that NAFI and its members share through membership. As a professional association, NAFI works hard to help make member Flight Training Organizations and member Flight Instructors successful. NAFI provides its members tools to increase their effectiveness. With the pilot population decreasing since the 1970s NAFI and its members must strive to reverse that trend by improving the effectiveness of flight training. Flight Training Organizations and Flight Instructors working together can make this happen. Together we are stronger. NAFI provides its member Flight Training Organizations and member flight instructors access to the tools to retain their students and increase their effectiveness.

What level of NAFI FTO membership should I purchase? The main determining factor in what level is most appropriate for your organization will be the number of instructors you have on staff that you want to have provided a NAFI membership. Look through each level and determine which number of instructors at a level will best fit your organization.
NAFI Master FTO $3,000 Acknowledgement with logo and link as a NAFI Master FTO on the NAFI Flight Training Organization webpage. Exclusive NAFI Partner Page on the NAFI website. Organization snapshot and links to FTO's website. Twenty-five individual NAFI Memberships. Additional annual memberships at the reduced rate of $39. Two NAFI Master Flight Instructor applications processed at no charge. FTO logo listed with FTO instructors in the NAFI Find an Instructor database on the NAFI website.
