NAFI to Conduct Focus Groups During AirVenture

As part of a project to assure that NAFI provides its members the tools and information necessary to satisfy the highest standards of flight instruction, NAFI will conduct several meetings with members during AirVenture Oshkosh 2006. These gatherings will serve as an element of the strategic planning for the association over the next several years.

“As the premier professional association for flight instructors worldwide,” explained executive director Rusty Sachs, “NAFI must give great weight to its members’ thoughts in planning its pursuits.” The focus groups will each comprise four to six flight instructors, who will address the concerns, problems, and annoyances they experience in the profession.

Participants in each focus group will be selected from NAFI volunteers; one group will meet each day on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday during AirVenture. Volunteers may express their willingness to participate at Flight Instructor Headquarters – the NAFI tent – or by email to
rsachs@eaa.org. The groups will convene at NAFI at 0945 and be released around 1100. A short questionnaire will precede the meeting.
