Position Description:  

Provides member service, supports member programs, interacts with the public and completes specified office and bookkeeping functions of the NAFI headquarters.

Reports to the Director of Program Development, interacts with staff, current and potential NAFI members and the NAFI Board of Directors. No supervisory responsibilities. 

Typical Duties:

  1. Handle all NAFI phone calls including member requests to renew, join or answer questions.  Process all new and renewing memberships, and compile records.

  2. Receive, distribute, and file all mail.

  3. Maintain Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, coordinate expense approvals and process vendor payments.

  4. Keep Quickbook accounts current including daily logging and deposit of funds, weekly reporting of funds and monthly disbursement reporting.

  5. Communicate with prospective and current Master CFIs (MCFIs) and process program fulfillment components under direction of the Director of Program Development.

  6. Staff the NAFI Professional Development Center at the AirVenture event.  This is an eight-day annual requirement.

  7. Provide back-up assistance to both the Director of Program Development and the Director of Marketing Communications, and coordinate flight instruction questions to appropriate personnel for answer.

  8. Perform special projects on an as needed basis which may include occasional travel.

Job Requirements:

  1. Education: Associate Degree (two years’ experience equals one year education)

  2. Experience: Two years office experience using Quickbooks or equivalent, to include two years customer service experience.

  3. Other requirements: Current in Quickbooks.  Microsoft office proficient.

  4. Association experience is desirable.

  5. Aviation experience is desirable.     

Hours per week: 25

Salary: $18 - $20 per hour dependent on experience
